2023 Year of the Water Rabbit

The exclusive destination of Careyes Mexico hosts its 37th annual Chinese New Year event with a celebration honoring the Year of the Water Rabbit from January 19-23, 2023. This year’s celebration will include a variety of curated events leading up to a highly festive celebration on the evening of January 22 for the Careyes community and visitors to experience together.

In Chinese five element theory, each zodiac sign is associated with one of the five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, or Earth. The Water Rabbit comes once in a 60-year cycle. The following year of the Water Rabbit is predicted to be a year of hope and will last from January 22, 2023, to February 9, 2024.
